Life transitions

Life is always in transitional, some of these transitions can be exciting, while others can be scary, some are predictable, while others are unexpected. When a life transitions occurs, people are often left re-examining themselves. Some life transitions can lead a person to feeling anxious and/or depressed. When this happens a person often looses their objectivity and can feel lost, confused, or afraid.

Erika has worked with many individuals experiencing life transitions, including: marriage, divorce, birth of a child, children leaving the home, loss of a family member, illness or injury, changes in career, unexpected financial issues, and many more. Erika works from a strength-based perspective, encouraging her clients to discover inner resources that can turn life transitions into opportunities for growth.

Sometimes a life transition can stem from a traumatic event. Left untreated, a traumatic event may lead someone to experience Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Erika is trained and certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR to treat trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
