About

Erika was born and raised in Los Angeles County. She attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo for her Bachelor's degree in clinical psychology. Erika then went on to earn her Master's degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University in Santa Barbara. After obtaining her Master's degree she attended Los Angeles Pierce Community College and completed the Addiction Studies Program. 

Erika began her career as a therapist working for non-profit organizations in the San Fernando Valley. During her time in the non-profit world she worked with children, families and adults who struggled with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and/or addiction. She went on to manage various programs with contracts from Los Angeles County, as well as supervise interns working towards obtaining their Marriage and Family Therapist license.  

Erika began her private practice in 2009, with offices in Sherman Oaks and Tarzana. She also began to facilitate anger management classes at this time. In 2011, Erika took a staff position at Kaiser Permanente Department of Psychiatry in Woodland Hills, where she worked for 6 years. 

Erika has devoted much of her time to training and supervising interns and other therapists, both in private practice and within Kaiser Permanente. Erika enjoys teaching others and was able to be part of the teaching staff for the Extension Program at Loyola Marymount University, where she taught Addiction Studies courses. While at Kaiser Permanente she assisted in developing and facilitating an intense therapeutic program for adults struggling with work related issues and psychological distress. 

Erika enjoys providing care to individuals eager to improve their mental and emotional well-being. She specializes in many forms of therapy including, but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. She works with individuals, couples, families, adolescents and young adults.
